PRACTICAL 3 GUN SHOOTING
Practical 3 Gun Shooting is an exciting, fun, safe sport. Practical 3 Gun Shooting requires competitors to deal with constantly changing scenarios whilst shooting rapidly and accurately with a full power handgun, shotgun and rifle.
To do this, a competitor will have to take on obstacle-laden outdoors shooting courses requiring anything from 6 to over 30 shots to complete. Competitors move, negotiate obstacles, run, speed reload and drive their firearms through each of several courses as fast and as accurate as their skills will allow.
It may be that the firearms you already own will be just what you need to get started in Practical 3 Gun Shooting. You would need a pistol in 9mm caliber or bigger, a semi-automatic rifle minimum .223 (5.56mm) class and a 12 or 16 gauge shotgun with either pump or semi-automatic action.
Other necessary equipment besides eye and ear protection includes spare magazines and belt mounted carriers. A holster for your handgun is compulsory and should retain the firearm during any required movement.
